Project Highlights

T2 Utility Engineers (T2ue), formerly TSH/TBE, completed a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigation for Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (RJC) at the Calgary International Airport for the design of the new multi-story parking structure.

The purpose of the investigation was to identify the location of the existing underground utilities in order to facilitate the design of the new parkade.

The investigation was successful in confirming and further refining the location of the existing utilities, as well as identifying some features that were not shown on the existing record drawings. T2ue identified several utilities that would be impacted by the parking structure construction. The investigation focused on areas under the proposed footprint of the new structure and a new access road, as well as an extended area around the entire project area to aid the electrical engineers in their design work.

The final product of the investigation was a composite utility drawing produced as per the ASCE Standard 38-02. The drawing accurately depicts the location of the underground utilities at the various quality levels.
