At T2 Utility Engineers (T2ue) we focus on Utility Infrastructure. T2 Utility Engineers was incorporated in April 2012, however we have been around for over 15 years, growing out of the former TSH/TBE JV which was established in 2002. Over the past 15+ years, T2ue has worked to introduce and solidify Utility Engineering services in Canada. T2ue can also accommodate utility and surveying projects in the United States through our parent company, Cardno.
As a recognized industry leader, T2 Utility Engineers offers a full range of services related to utility infrastructure. The foundation of our business is the collection of accurate reliable utility data in accordance with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) principals, and current ASCE and CSA Standards.
Utilizing a variety of data sources, T2ue can create a complete map of your underground utility networks. Mapping is done using a variety of techniques including records research, pipe and cable locators, EM-surveys, sondes, CCTV and vacuum excavation. Maps can be provided in a variety of formats, from sketches, to CADD to GIS data layers.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a powerful prospecting tool that can be used to map utilities, underground tanks, voids and a variety of other objects that cannot be found using traditional designating methods. We have the expertise and equipment to make Ground Penetrating Radar a highly effective tool on your projects.
T2 Utility Engineers uses the most advanced laser scanning equipment available to help in many aspects of Utility Engineering, particularly focusing on scanning of underground chambers and large pipes. LIDAR is the fastest, most efficient and accurate method of collecting data. Data collected with LIDAR, once processed, can be tied into surveys with great accuracy and can be incorporated directly in 3D CAD software.
T2 Utility Engineers field crews have the experience you need to efficiently collect your utility asset inventory data. Our training allows our crews to access confined spaces and gather pipe sizes, invert measurements and all other asset inventory requirements. Information can then be processed as a CAD or GIS format.
Sewer Inspection Services – CCTV
T2 Utility Engineers has state of the art CCTV equipment, zoom cameras and other tools needed to provide inspection, condition assessment, locating and asset management services for your sewer systems. T2ue provides a full value service following NASSCO – PACP, MACP, and LACP standards.
T2 Utility Engineers can simplify your project’s utility relocation requirements by providing one central contact for all relocation efforts. Our professionals manage all of the utility processes and procedures associated with utility relocating, negotiating design adjustments, and minimizing relocation requirements.

Multi-Channel GPR Technology
T2 Utility Engineers has invested in Multi-Channel GPR technology. MCGPR technology is a multi-sensor GPR array that allows for the collection of a large quantity of GPR data both simultaneously parallel and perpendicular to the direction of data collection.
T2 Utility Engineers’ extensive utility experience provides us with the expertise necessary to conduct an accurate survey of utility features including maintenance holes, pedestals, vaults, etc. T2 Utility Engineers conducts both Total Station and GPS surveys, offering our clients a range of accuracy levels dependent on their requirements.
