Greenland retained T2 Utility Engineers to complete a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigation to determine the precise location of buried subsurface utilities prior to construction of a new condominium development on Yonge Street in North York. The investigation involved records request circulation, SUE mapping and locating, CCTV sewer inspections, invert investigations.
The SUE investigation for this unique project in a busy urban core, provided key information regarding the location of the existing underground utilities to be used during the design of the project. A combination of data from the field investigations and utility record information was used to create the composite utility drawings. The drawings showed the utilities at the highest quality levels as outlined in the industry standards CI/ASCE Standard 38-02 and requested by the Emerald Park development team, allowing them to proceed with construction, having addressed utility-related risks.
