Hal Adams Cable Stay Bridge Monitoring

The Hal Adams Bridge is a historic suspension bridge built in 1947. Over the years additional cable stays were added and the Florida DOT wanted to ensure the bridge was structurally sound. T2 Utility Engineers team was tasked with establishing horizontal and vertical control and placing targets on the bridge in order to allow structural engineers to monitor the bridge for potential movement.

T2ue provided a terrestrial LiDAR scan of the bridge and extracted the existing cables and key bridge elements so the FDOT structural engineers could evaluate the structural elements to determine the current condition of the bridge. The information T2ue provided established the benchmark for future structural comparison.
