Texas A&M University Campus SUE Investigation

Our Texas staff provided Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services for the Texas A&M University System under a professional services subconsultant agreement with Jaster-Quintanilla Engineering. SUE was required on two College Station campuses to locate and map the horizontal and vertical alignment of existing utilities to allow for safe future development near Satellite Utility Plants and the Zachary Engineering Building.

The scope of services provided on the campuses included records research, field utility designating (ASCE 38-02 Quality Level B) and locating (ASCE 38-02 Quality Level A) utility test hole excavation with the objective of finding and mapping the horizontal and vertical alignment of existing facilities at the Utility Plants and near the Zachary Engineering building.

T2 Utility Engineers has proven ability to successfully navigate the complexities of working on campuses while they are in session. Our teams are highly focused on safety as well as communicating with faculty and maintenance staff to minimize disturbing daily operations. The utility investigation information was used to support campus expansion with reduced utility-related risk.
