Utility Coordination - the Perfect Ingredient for any Design-Build Project Recipe

Utility Coordination is often described as a blend of Art and Science, but at what measure and timing is it best added to the process? Based on our experiences and lessons learned, this service, or ingredient, can be added and used on your project at any time to reap benefits.

Who can add this ingredient? The project owner can utilize utility coordination to provide advance notification to the utility owners of the project and gather important data that can be included within the RFP documents as well as educate the bidding Design-Build teams about potential utility issues. The Design-Build teams can utilize the utility coordination process to “sweeten the pot”. Potential utility risks can be managed by conflict identification, conflict analysis and by applying mitigation techniques. This can be accomplished by using measured amounts of Subsurface Utility Engineering and Survey data and a collaborative approach.

Join us to learn how utility coordination can best be utilized on your project and how this key ingredient can result in a successful project.
